Executive Directors Dylan Leiner and Jeffrey Saunders created NYFEST to blend soccer and entertainment in the world’s metropolis, NYC. Held in conjunction with the Tribeca Film Festival, the 2nd annual NYFEST will take place on April 21st 2012.

Dylan Leiner is the EVP of Acquisitions & Production at Sony Pictures Classics. He is a former college soccer player and board member of the Claudio Reyna Foundation.  Jeffrey Saunders is a film director, former professional soccer player and director of numerous youth development programs in New York.

NYFEST aims to be a platform for integration, connection and fun.  NYFEST puts a spotlight on the world of soccer and its deep connection to all ages by bringing together entertainment professionals, celebrities and NYC youth.

All proceeds from the event go to benefit charities that provide soccer programs for under served urban youth.  Many kids are not afforded the chance to participate in team sports, and NYFEST’s aim is to facilitate access through partnerships with leading non-profit organizations.
